Hey Tracy,
the motor is an M 1315 (75mm diameter).
The cool thing is: you cannot only hear, but actually feel the motor going off.

Hi Tracy, der Sound kommt von einem
M-1315
geflogen von einem niederländischen TRA-Mitglied beim ALRS-1 in der Schweiz.

Ja- It really makes the experience complete! I knew that was a big motor. I have not bought any of the 76mm hardware yet, I think I need to. I do have the L952 & M1419 hardware, but I think I might like the 76mm prices better!
I have a Maximum Thrust 9 inch diameter V2 kit just begging for a 76mm motor mount.
What manufacturers motors are available to you guys there besides Aerotech?

Hi Tracy,
I'm afraid you have discovered a sore spot of German rocketeers :-).
The legal situation in Germany right now allows motors beyond 20 Ns impulse and more than 20g of propellant mass only for certified users. You need a special kind of license, and not very many rocketeers have that license. Because of that, no motor manufacturer really feels the need to pour money into motor certifications and import fees etc. :-(.
Right now, all we have is:
- Estes motors up to D12
- FSI motors (currently not availbale)
- Sachsen Feuerwerk A,B,C and weak D7
- Held 1000 (a 5 s. burn C2-0)
- BC 360. An I 246, reloadable, uses NC/NG double base propellant.
There are attempts to change that situation at the moment, but it is not likely to change much in the next two years. Then the European certifications for Aerotech motors are running out, and maybe (cross your fingers!) some other country will renew those - and Germany as part of the EU can jump on that train.
I hope I've got everything right now, otherwise: let the flaming begin :-).

Das war jetzt aber nicht Fritz der das gesagt hat, kommt mir nämlich irgendwie so vor ?!

Habe mir eben die Videos von www.gbrocketry.com angeguckt, das ist ja echt irre...

2000 war das das noch irre - heute lockst Du da niemand mehr hinter dem Ofen vor. Die GB Brothers sind schon alte Hasen in dem Geschäft....

Wieso eigentlich nicht ?
Muss es immer : Höher , weiter, stärkerer Motor sein ?
