VS11-Galileo FOC-M2, Sat 7-8
THE LAUNCH READINESS REVIEW (RAL) took place in Kourou on Thursday March 26, 2015 and authorized count-down operations for the Soyuz ST-B – Galileo launch.
On the eleventh Soyuz launch from the Guiana Space Center, Arianespace will orbit the next two satellites in the Galileo constellation. Galileo satellites are built by Bremen-based OHB System as prime contractor, with all payloads provided by Surrey Satellite Technology Ltd. UK, a 99%-owned subsidiary of Airbus Defence and Space. These were the third and fourth OHB-built satellites launched by Arianespace
With the Soyuz, Ariane 5 and Vega launchers at the Guiana Space Center (CSG), Arianespace is the only launch services provider in the world capable of launching all types of payloads into all orbits, from the smallest to the largest geostationary satellites, from satellite clusters for constellations to cargo missions for the International Space Station (ISS).
The launch will be from the Soyuz Launch Site (ELS) at the Guiana Space Center, French Guiana.
